A little late eh?

So its been a while since my last post... a little over a whole WEEK! Yikes! Honestly, I have not been in the blogging mood lately but I think most of us go through our "bloggy phases". I have even lost some followers and I have no idea how. Does it bug any of y'all when (or if) you loose a follower? I don't know why but it kinda bugs me in a stupid little way. It's like by "de-following" my blog you are saying "I don't like you any more" ha! Oh well.. I'm so over it. And if you are reading this post right now you are probably one of my "true followers" anyway lol!
So first things first.... Memorial Day! Last weekend was my sisters Boyfriend (Wes) birthday. He had a big party out on Lake McQueeney and invited the whole Fam. It was so much fun! We went out on his dads boat and swam in the lake and had a "big ol' time". Side note: I actually didn't swim in the lake because it is pure TORTURE for me to be in a bathing suit publicly! I have no idea why the bathing suit was ever invented and even at my skinniest I HATED them. I have just always felt so naked in them and I don't know about y'all but I don't want to be "necked" in public. And even though I had my swimsuit on (underneath my cover-up) I was not going to take that cover up off unless absolutely forced.
Anyway.. back to the subject ;) Here are some pics of our Memorial Day. This is another one of Hannah's "double duty outfits". She wore it last Summer and I couldn't wait for her to wear it again. Here she is LAST summer at only 5 1/2 months (and standing on her own)...

We had a great day but my little one was WORN OUT! She was so tired that she took a nap on a blanket on the grass.

So I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner today and giving y'all one of my recipes. Now... I must confess, I am NOT a big fan of handing out recipes. I make pastries and desserts for a living. I take it VERY seriously. I decided to pick a recipe that isn't a signature recipe I use all of the time but one that is SUPER good. Its Emeril's Pumpkin cheesecake. You can find the recipe HERE! I make this all of the time during the Holidays. People go crazy over it! Its a little time consuming but well worth it! Here is one that I have made...

So I also have to show you my latest creation I made for The Sweet Spot! I have been unbelievably busy making all kinds of orders today and this is one of them...

White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake Bomb

Vanilla pound cake soaked in a raspberry syrup filled with raspberry mousse and covered with white chocolate and raspberry sauce, topped with a white chocolate truffle

These things really are "da bomb" ha!

I'm LOVING it!!!!

This week I'm LOVING the Chick Chat we had on Monday night! We had a fabulous speaker and I made some fabulous desserts (if I do say so myself ha!) Here they are...

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes:

As y'all may have noticed.... I'm really getting into making these cake bombs! It's kind of my signature dessert now ha! I just love the endless possibilities and since everyone is getting on the cupcake train I figure I can stand out a little with these bombs ;)

Another thing I am LOVING is Tutu moi! I just found this cute site on Hautelook.com (which I also LOVE) This site has the cutest little tutu outfits!

You CAN always get what you want- If you're at the grandparents

Yesterday we went over to my parents and hung out all day and had dinner. Hannah wore the cutest little white and brown polka dot outfit. Last Summer she had the exact same outfit (just a different size of course) and I was so excited that we found another one in a bigger size. Here she is (almost 1 year ago)

And here she is this year!

She is getting to be SUCH a big girl and Its kinda making me sad. Although I LOVE her now that she is older and is getting really good at communicating. Maybe I can get another one of these outfits for her next year ha!

Every time we go to my parents house my dad loves to take Hannah to Starbucks. Its kinda their thing. He got her hooked on vanilla cream fraps (don't worry...no caffeine) and she LOVES it! She lights up every time he mentions Starbucks to her and she can even say "Starbucks" ha! My dad loves to get her anything he thinks she might remotely want. Here she is with her mini doughnut and frapuchino...



For dinner my mom made homemade spaghetti and meatballs and it was the first time Han had ever had it (at my moms) She was a MESS

And if that wasn't enough, she saw my sis eating a fudge pop and had to have one too so of course my mom ran over to go get her one lol! She ate her spaghetti and fudge pop at the same time (disgusting I know)

It just goes to show that whatever she wants at Momo and poppy's... She gets! ;)



What I'm LOVING!!!

This week I'm LOVING Zulily! I found this website a few months ago and now I'm in LOVE! I'm sure y'all have already heard of it but its a site that discounts designer children's and woman's clothes and toys. Yesterday I bought Hannah the cutest little "Olivia" tea set. Olivia is her favorite show and she also LOVES tea parties so to combine the two was just perfect!

Another thing I am LOVING is also something I found on Zulily. Its a brand of girls clothes called One Posh Kid. It has the most unique and cute little clothes. I bought this outfit for Han....

I LOVE this because its all about the cupcake and lately that's all I'm about these days ha!

Speaking of outfits... Today my sister and I are going to Fredricksburg to have a fun day to shop and eat and last time I went there I saw this (to die for) outfit but I didn't buy it and I wish I would have....

I know... It's soooooo Over the Top and a little ridiculous (it says "step aside Barbie") but if I find it again, I'm totally getting it ha!

My Baby's Back!

My grandparents absolutely ADORE Hannah! So much that they insist on seeing her at least once a month (they live in the Woodlands). So far they have over-exceeded the once a month expectation but it had been about 3 weeks and my grandma (Mommom) was already calling me to see when I was going to bring her up there ha! I have been so busy lately with all of my dessert orders I couldn't go but my mom insisted that she take her. So (against my wanting her to) she ended up leaving on Thursday and she came back today. I was so happy to have my baby back! I missed her so very much! As soon as she came home she took a nap and then it was off to Freddy's (love the bugers) and the park...

We had a great time but as soon as we got home it was back to baking AGAIN! It seems as if that's ALL I do these days. My newest invention is "cake bombs". I made 2 different kinds this week for The Sweet Spot.

My Mother's Day!

I had a WONDERFUL Mothers Day this year! When I woke up Sunday morning Bri had all of my presents layed out for me. He wrote me the sweetest Mothers Day poem and had bought me flowers, a necklace and a gift certificate for a mani/pedi day! He is the BEST husband a girl could ask for! He made this day so special for me but he honestly makes every day special. Here is the necklace he had made for me.....

Its a monogram necklace! I have been wanting one of these ever since I saw the one that Alexis from "Real Housewives of OC" had. I wanted something similar and mine isn't like the one she has of course (because hers is covered in diamonds and retails for about $4000) but I am in LOVE with it ;)

We went to church and after that we went over to my parents house for lunch. Here are some pictures we took before we ate (a.k.a. changed into comfy eating clothes ha!)

We had Alamo Cafe to go! They have the BEST fajitas and the chips/salsa/queso is seriously on my "death meal list"! And as if all of that DELISH Mexican food wasn't enough, my dad picked up a bunch of desserts too (and the BEST part is... I didn't have to make them ha!)

It was such a great day and I feel so fortunate to be a mother on this special day. I know that so many women are waiting for their sweet miracles to come so that they can be a mother and I never want to forget the times I have spent on my knees praying for that miracle myself.



My Favorite Vay-Cay Spot!

Over at Kelly's Korner everyone is talking about their favorite places to vacation. If you even know me just a little bit it wont be too hard to guess which place is my favorite.I'll give you a hint... It's the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH! Disney World! I LOVE Disney! I have been 9 times in my lifetime and I can foresee many many more trips for the future. Every time I go I always think that it was the best trip yet. The last time we went we took Hannah for her first birthday. It was quite possibly the BEST trip yet ;) Here are a few pics of our latest trip...

Favorite Places to Stay:



We have stayed on Resort and off Resort. I personally LOVE staying on property because its more convenient as far as transportation goes and you qualify for the Disney Dining Plan (which is a MUST)

My all time favorite hotel that we have stayed at has to be The Polynesian!

I went to Disney for the very first time when I was 8 and we stayed here and I still remember how amazing it was. Its one of the pricier resorts but its so fun! I LOVE the "beach" on the resort where you can just lay on a hammock and feel as though you are in Hawaii.

Favorite Place to Eat:

#1- My favorite place to eat at Disney has to be 50s Prime Time Cafe



I LOVE this place! Its like taking a step back into the 50s. It even has classic TV shows from the 50s playing at most of the tables.We have gone here every single time we have been to Disney! We always get our picture taken at the little tables with the TV"S.Here is this years shot...

#2- Crystal Palace
I LOVE this place for the food and the fun atmosphere. This restaurant has an enormous buffet that is so so yummy and all of the Characters from Winnie the Pooh come and visit you while you eat.

Favorite Ride:



I am a Classic movie freak as well as a hopeless romantic so naturally my favorite ride at Disney has to be The Great Movie Ride!





Well that's just a few of my FAVES! I hope that if y'all have never gotten the chance to visit Disney that you can do it someday because it truly is "The Happiest Place on Earth"!
