A Royal Tea Party!

So did y'all watch the Royal Wedding? I didn't stay up and watch it but I have seen ALL of the news coverage on it and it just makes me wish I was a (real) Princess! What did y'all think of Kate's dress? I liked it but I was wanting more (I tend to go for the more over-the-top look) but after thinking about it I thought it suited her PERFECTLY! She looked just like Grace Kelly...

In honor of the Royal Wedding, Hannah and I had ourselves a little tea party. The guest list was VERY exclusive. The VIPs included: Bob the dog,Beddy the Bear and Frank the Lamb. Hannah wore her special Princess dress for the party.

The table was set with the finest of "china" and delectable desserts.

It was a party fit for an "American Princess"!

Our Easter!

We had a great Easter! As soon as we got dressed for church, Hannah went outside to see what the Easter Bunny brought her...

She was so happy to get her Olivia doll. She hasn't let it go of her since.

We went to church at the new church we have been visiting and it was a WONDERFUL service! I LOVE the pastor at the church. He is such a great preacher and from the looks of it he has an incredibly kind heart and he is very hands on. Even though the church is big (about 2000 members) he makes it a priority to develop relationships with all of his members. I know this because I have heard from MANY different people that he is their mentor and makes the people of the church his priority.

After church we headed over to my parents house. They were super excited to give Hannah her Easter basket.
As you can see... The Easter bunny is a little bit more generous at their house ha!

Here is our Family Easter Pic last year...

And here we are this year!

Later that afternoon, we did an Easter egg hunt (and a wardrobe change ;). Hannah still wasn't very interested in the "hunting". She just wanted all of the jellybeans inside the eggs. You can see the jellybeans all over the floor.

                                                                 We had a great day!

What I'm LOVING- Easter Edition!

This Wednesday I am LOVING that I got my Petunia Pickle Bottom bag that I wanted for my birthday! My parents gave it to me and I could not be more in LOVE! It is so beautiful! I LOVE that it has all sorts of pockets and hidden compartments. Here it is...

I also LOVE that we went to Hannah's first Easter party yesterday! We had a Easter egg hunt and the kids swam in the kiddie pool. It was so much fun! My friend Stephanie had it at her house and she invited all of Hannah's "little" friends. Here is Han's special "egg hunting outfit" ha!

She has Easter eggs on her bow and on her sandals ;)

As soon as the egg hunt started Hannah didn't really know what to think. I helped her put a few eggs in the basket and then she became a little more interested.

She became even more interested when she found the jelly beans inside the eggs ha! After she found those she just sat down and started eating and she never got up.

It was a FUN time! Here are all the kiddos...

This party was a good practice run for the real thing coming up on SUNDAY!

Speaking of Easter... I am also LOVING these cute little "chick cake-pops"

I might try making these (if I have time) I think they are just too cute! I'll let y'all know how they turn out ;)

Birthday Weekend!

So this Friday was my Birthday! I hit the big 2-6!!! I kinda feel old now just because I am no longer in my "early twenties". I was super excited about this weekend because my husband took off Friday and he had planned a fun and romantic birthday for me and I had no clue what it was. As soon as the clock hit midnight on my birthday, he gave me my first present. It was the sweetest birthday poem ever. He has always written me poems every year since we have known each other, not just for my birthday but for anniversaries,Christmas, and Valentines Day and some times just because. So that was a great start to the day right there. Then that afternoon we set off for my big "surprise". I figured we were going to Austin (since we were driving in that direction). I WAS RIGHT!!!! He was taking me to Austin to spend the night and have an incredible date night!

As soon as we got to our hotel, (the Renaissance) we dropped off our stuff and went to "The Domain" to shop. It was so much fun just to stroll around and go into all of my favorite stores and not have to rush. After that we had the BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE at Flemings...

I didn't take any pictures of my food because I would have been a little embarrassed whipping out the camera and flashing pictures in the dark restaurant but I will just say it was AMAZING! I had the fillet minon with shrimp and horseradish mashed potatoes.

After dinner we went to go see "Source Code" at a place called Gold Class Cinemas. It is a really fancy movie theater where you sit in these huge reclining seats and have your own waiter. It was by far the BEST movie experience ever!

It was definitely a great surprise and the best Birthday I have ever had!

Sunday our whole family went to brunch to celebrate both my and my husbands birthday (his is 6 days after mine) We went to the Menger Hotel in Downtown San Antonio. It is the oldest hotel in the city and its absolutely beautiful! Here is the dining room...

After we ate we went out to the garden area. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful garden.

Notice her "first heels" ha! I found these little wedges and thought they were too cute!

I had such a wonderful Birthday weekend! I'm kinda sad it has to end but I'm trying to convince Bri that I need a whole Birthday month ha!

Strawberry Pick'n

Today was a FABULOUS day! We went out to Fredricksburg to go pick strawberries. My friend Rhonda had gone a couple weeks ago and I got inspired to take a trip out there as well. It seriously was the most fun we have ever had as just our little family of 3. We left our house as soon as Hannah woke up. She did pretty good on the drive up there. We were super excited to get there and start the strawberry picking process. Hannah had the perfect outfit for the occasion. I found the cutest strawberry tutu and a shirt that has strawberries on it that says "pick me" and she even had a strawberry purse!

As soon as we got to the orchard Hannah took off running! She loved being outside with no restrictions.

Once we "wrangled" her in, we guided her to the strawberries. She wanted to pick (or squeeze) them all ha!

I think she ate a pound just by herself! She loved them.

We picked about 2 pounds of strawberries. They are super red and sweet but a bit on the small side.

After the orchard we headed into town to shop and eat! I am LOVING all of the cute little shops in Fredricksburg! I'm a big fan of cute little boutiques and that's all there is there. The food is pretty amazing too. We stopped at a bakery called Rather Sweet and bought a few goodies. Here are some pics of  some of the delicious goodies in the bake shop...

Here is what we got: Double Berry Bar, Chewy Chocolate Pecan Cookie and a Praline Cheesecake

For lunch we went to a place called Hondo's. My friend Annie told me about this place and said I had to try the "Donut Burger". Its this AMAZING hamburger that has a slight sweetness to it that is absolutely DELISH. Bri and I both got burgers and Han got a hot dog and sweet potato fries. We also got these fried jalapenos that were like FIRE! They were a little too hot for my taste.

We had such a great time and this is definitely the start of a new tradition ;)
