Strawberry Pick'n

Today was a FABULOUS day! We went out to Fredricksburg to go pick strawberries. My friend Rhonda had gone a couple weeks ago and I got inspired to take a trip out there as well. It seriously was the most fun we have ever had as just our little family of 3. We left our house as soon as Hannah woke up. She did pretty good on the drive up there. We were super excited to get there and start the strawberry picking process. Hannah had the perfect outfit for the occasion. I found the cutest strawberry tutu and a shirt that has strawberries on it that says "pick me" and she even had a strawberry purse!

As soon as we got to the orchard Hannah took off running! She loved being outside with no restrictions.

Once we "wrangled" her in, we guided her to the strawberries. She wanted to pick (or squeeze) them all ha!

I think she ate a pound just by herself! She loved them.

We picked about 2 pounds of strawberries. They are super red and sweet but a bit on the small side.

After the orchard we headed into town to shop and eat! I am LOVING all of the cute little shops in Fredricksburg! I'm a big fan of cute little boutiques and that's all there is there. The food is pretty amazing too. We stopped at a bakery called Rather Sweet and bought a few goodies. Here are some pics of  some of the delicious goodies in the bake shop...

Here is what we got: Double Berry Bar, Chewy Chocolate Pecan Cookie and a Praline Cheesecake

For lunch we went to a place called Hondo's. My friend Annie told me about this place and said I had to try the "Donut Burger". Its this AMAZING hamburger that has a slight sweetness to it that is absolutely DELISH. Bri and I both got burgers and Han got a hot dog and sweet potato fries. We also got these fried jalapenos that were like FIRE! They were a little too hot for my taste.

We had such a great time and this is definitely the start of a new tradition ;)

What I'm LOVING on this SWEET Wednesday!

This week I am LOVING the fact that I am now selling all of my desserts at a little place in Spring Branch called "The Sweet Spot"! I am super excited! They are allowing me to work from home and deliver the desserts to the shop 3 times a week. This is a PERFECT situation for me and I am LOVE LOVE LOVING it! I am pretty much baking every single day trying to keep up with all of the orders. Here are some of the things I made for today's order....

Easter Cupcakes: Its a white cake with cream cheese frosting and coconut "grass" with a cute little chick and malt ball "eggs" on top!

Here are the Pina Colada Cupcakes: Coconut cake with pineapple cream filling and a pineapple cream cheese frosting topped with fresh coconut and candied pineapple

And since we I was in a "Spring mood" I threw in some Strawberry lemonade Cupcakes: Strawberry cake with a lemon cream filling and alternating strawberry and lemon frosting!

I also made some hand decorated sugar cookies for Easter! They are Tulips and Easter Eggs...

If y'all are ever in the San Antonio/Spring Branch area make sure to stop by The Sweet Spot!!! And click on the link and "like" us on Facebook!

We FINALLY found the Bluebonnets!

If you live in Texas you will know what a big deal Bluebonnets are (especially if you have little ones). It's an absolute MUST to find the perfect spot for the perfect "yearly bluebonnet pic".I have been freaking out lately because there have been NO bluebonnets this year. They usually come around the middle/end of March and because of the drought they have been very scarce. My friend Robbin told me that there was a patch of them right by the Spring Branch library so we decided to head on out there and see. It wasn't a "field of plenty" like I'm used to seeing for this time of year, but there was enough to get some really good pics. A lot of them had a purple hue to them but I thought they were all pretty. Here are some of my favorites.....

This was us last year... Hannah was only 1 1/2 months old!

And here we are this year!

Show Us Your Life!

This weeks "Show us Your Life" is all about Mothers/Fathers day ideas. I don't have any ideas yet for this year but I just had to share with y'all what my husband did for me last year. He wrote me a poem and videoed Hannah while he read it. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever! Here is the video...

He also made a little frame and clay mold of Hannah's foot and hand prints. I thought it was a very thoughtful gift! I LOVE him so very much! It was a great Mothers day!

What I'm LOVING!!

This week I am LOVING the McKenna Children's museum here in New Braunfels!Everyone has told me how great it is and that its the best Children's museum ever, so I was excited to see what all the fuss was about. I invited my friend Lisa and her little girl Madison and we made it a playdate. As soon as we entered the building Hannah thought I was going to drop her off (like at church) and she immediately started crying and freaking out ha! After about 10 minutes of trying to re-assure her that I wasn't leaving, she dove right into the action. There was tons for us to do there. Hannah LOVED it! Here are the pics from our day...

Checking all of her groceries out!

Here we are in "Space"... We were Astronauts

Saying Hi to the bull!

Playing outside on the rock wall!

We had a great time! We will definitely be back!

Another thing I am LOVING is my new Kate Spade diaper purse! I just got it last week for $50!!! at the outlet mall!

It was originally $250 and I got it super on sale! Its very roomy and I feel like its more "purse-like" instead of screaming diaper bag central ha!

Although... I also LOVE this pretty little diaper purse by Petunia Pickle Bottom. My friend Shawna has one and I am in LOVE! Maybe I'll get it for my birthday (next week)... ;)
